Now, I don’t mean to scare you with that 90% turnover rate. As a matter of fact, you should jump for joy. Knowing that so many are quitting early in the race should confirm to you there’s plenty room at the top.
All you need is a little more staying power, determination and the right knowledge.
Here’s a sobering fact for your encouragement:
The meeting industry magazines report that approximately 11 million meetings occur in the U.S. each and every year. Well, I’m sure part of that statistic probably accounts for when your boss calls for a team meeting.
But for the most part, they are talking about large meetings with keynote speakers in the lineup.
Regardless of how you want to interpret the statistic, you now know there’s no shortage of meetings for you to speak.
We speakers often joke that it’s easier to get a new audience than to get a new speech. When you think about it, that’s not a joke. It’s the reality.
But, what does it really take to be so good and so powerful that meeting planners and speakers bureaus start seeking you out? I’m so glad you ask!
Your question brings me to my first speaking success nugget for you…
More about this on the next post.
