    Greeting to you Rene,I am Tombara by name from Nigeria.Am a graduate of Banking and Finance, but am presently working in an insurance company.I have always wanting to be a motivational speaker but don’t know how to go about it till now that i have met you Mr Rene.
    I have this question: As a motivational speaker, how to you get the attention of the audiance.
    Secondly, how do you start your speech?

      Hi Tombara,

      There are several ways to get your audience’s attention. You can open with a provocative statement, a powerful quotation or short poem, challenge the assumptions of the audience. Or you can jump on a table or chair.

      You can also make some weird sound. Do something to surprise the audience. You can ask them to join you while you are singing a very familiar song. That is how you get their attention.

      If you want them to stay interested and attentive, avoid using monotone. Use vocal varieties. Speak loud, soft, with a middle tone, and whisper. Pause, freeze, use your hands to emphasize your points, etc.
